Essay on 'The Library'

The library is a public place where people go and read books or they borrow books. There are books on different subject in many languages. In addition to books, there are newspapers and magazines. The library is managed by a committee. There are members also on the committee. Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers. And the beautiful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open.

There are two main kinds of libraries:

Public library 

The public library is meant for all. Anybody can read books there. The public library used by the general readers. They may choose the particular book on every day.

Private library

The private library belong to a particular man who himself sets it up with his own money. It is not used by public. They maintain their private library with systematic.

Schools have also libraries for their teachers and students.

The library is very useful. It is more useful than a school. In a school only prescribed books are taught. So the knowledge gained in a school is limited. But in a library we can read books on various subjects which give wide knowledge. The library is of great help to the poor who cannot afford to buy books themselves. Even rich people cannot buy so many books as there are in a library. Some libraries have rare books. So those who are interested in those books gave to go to the library. Students of higher education find immense help from libraries where they intensify their knowledge. The library is a suitable place for studies because there is calm and peace there. There is no question of disturbance.

Every library has the proper management for the read the book. In fact, in the schools and colleges also have their library with good control and management. It is the necessary part of any drive for the spread of education. It should be one of the first concerns of Ministry of Education. In our country, every village should have at least one library where the people can go for knowledge and information.

Students should form the habit of going to libraries. They can learn their how to take care of their books and how to arrange them.
