Essay on 'My School'

'My School'

Educational institutions are the true seats of learning. The students, who are really anxious to learn, can develop healthy habits only in the schools. In a school, we are taught how to move in society, how to behave with others and how to progress in life.
I am a student of ‘Shree Pashupati Mitra Secondary School’, Kathmandu. It is about 70-71 years old. Thanks to some of the old teachers of this school, the school came into existence. There is two grounds and buildings which contains many rooms. My school is very big.
There are ten classes, from class I to X in it along with ECG. From this year my school has contained 11 and 12. Most classes have two sections. Each section has more than 40 students. Thus there are about 1000 students here. The school has approximately 40 teachers or more teachers, with clerk and peons. All the teachers are experienced. They teach very well.
The school gives students several facilities. Almost all the students are granted full free studentship. There is a big library having many books. Students, as well as teachers, go there for the reading. In addition to these facilities, students play games like football, badminton and so on.  It has won many trophies in inner-school debates and declamation contests. There is a science lab, computer lab, and canteen which help a lot to the students. There is a big tree in the school which helps the school airy.

The school is not without defects, the teaching is by lecture method which is not very effective. The only base of evaluation is the examination. Students come from far place and there is no any facility on the school bus. So it needs to improve.

In spite of these defects, the school is famous in that area. In studies, our school shows goods results every year. Being a student of this school is a matter of pride. But on the whole, my school is very good.

...Thank You...
